Internship in Scotland

Scotland, the rough but beautiful north of Great Britain, is well-known for its mountainous wild scenery, its famous lochs as well as its Medieval architecture.
A total area of 78,772 km², including over 790 islands, offers lots of possibilities to dip into a living past. For example; visiting enormous castles like the Culzean Castle or the Edinburgh Castle, experiencing the traditional Highland Games or learning about original Scottish culture.

The climate of Scotland is temperate and oceanic, and tends to be very changeable.

Financial Centre
Edinburgh, the country’s capital and second largest city, is one of Europe’s largest financial centres. It was hub of the Scottish Enlightenment of the 18th century, which saw Scotland become one of the commercial, intellectual and industrial powerhouses of Europe. Scotland’s largest city is Glasgow, which was once one of the world’s leading industrial metropolises, and now lies at the centre of the Greater Glasgow conurbation which dominates the Scottish Lowlands. Scottish waters consist of a large sector of the North Atlantic and the North Sea, containing the largest oil reserves in the European Union.

Culture
In recent decades Scotland has enjoyed something of a cultural and economic renaissance. Economic factors which have contributed to this recovery include a resurgent financial services industry, electronics manufacturing, and the North Sea oil and gas industry.

The Scots still keep up their customs, dialects and the Gaelic language as well as their unique humour and tradition of hospitality to ensure that their national character is kept intact.

Internship in Scotland
As there is no real “intern culture” in Scotland it can be very hard for foreign students to gain work experience. The majority of students find it extremely difficult to find an internship abroad through their own efforts.
This is where we come in! With our extensive network of companies and contacts we are in the perfect position to offer you all the support you need in your application for a language course and an internship in Scotland.
