Sonja, internship in agriculture in Seville: "I am completely satisfied with my stay, especially with the support of my tutor, who made it possible for me to be so well integrated within the team. Additionally, I was taught all about the structures and conditions for agriculture in Andalusia. In the past few weeks, my colleagues have also offered to spend time teaching me about the distinctive features for the cultivation of fincas, in order to get to know additional characteristics of Spanish culture. I am so grateful that the team have been so patient with me and my level of Spanish knowledge, and are constantly helping me to improve."

Seville is one of Spain's most beautiful cities. It is the capital of Andalusia, and is located in the province of the same name. It has 700 000 inhabitants and is famous for its legendary bullfights and the Flamenco. Its specific beauty comes from its location on the river Guadalquivir, from the singularly lively old town with its romantic and winding lanes, the fragrances of blossoming gardens and the many historic buildings. The remains of the former ring wall and its 66 towers, which surrounded the inner city, can still be seen. And on the right bank of the river spreads the large suburb of Triana.

Spain would be unthinkable without Sevilla because of its eventful history, its splendid buildings, and its political importance. The city is more than two thousand years old. The passage of the various people instrumental in its growth has left the city with a distinct personality, and a large and well-preserved historical centre.

Holidaymakers coming to Seville are mostly interested in its culture. The town offers a great number of cultural activities for all interests the whole year round: Flamenco, bullfights, the Holy Week (Semana Santa) and Feria, as well a lively street life and very communicative and hospitable people. No one will be disappointed with the many highlights in this town in the south of Spain. There is the well-known cathedral Santa Maria, the golden tower, and famous Giralda, all of which the visitor can experience, along with the fascinating charm of this eternal romantic town. And if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town and the midday heat, you can relax in the Parque de Maria Luisa.

Seville invites you to learn Spanish and offers you a fantastic climate, an excellent cuisine, unique architecture, and a great number of cinemas, music, and theatre stages. The economic activity of Seville cannot be detached from the geographical and urban context of the city; the capital of Andalusia is the centre of a growing metropolitan area. Aside from traditional neighborhoods such as Santa Cruz, Triana and La Macarena, those further away from the centre, such as Nervión, Sevilla Este, and El Porvenir have seen recent economic growth. Over the past twenty years, this urban area has seen significant population growth and the development of new industrial and commercial parks.

Due to its size and location, Seville is economically the strongest of the Andalusian cities. The infrastructure available in the city contributes to the growth of an economy dominated by the service sector, but in which industry still holds a considerable place.

As you can see there are many opportunities for internships-4U to arrange an internship for you in Seville.
