Nina H., Internship in a school for disabled children in Melbourne, Australia.
"I had a really great time at my school. Although I had never worked
with disabled children before, my colleagues accepted me right from the start
and
gave me duties.
I had many different tasks such as helping in lessons or with physiotherapy.
But I also had duties for which I was solely responsible, and my colleagues were
always willing to help me or answer my questions.
When I left, we were all quite sad – myself, my colleagues and the children.
My colleagues organised a small surprise farewell party with the children and
I was totally surprised.
I got a lot out of the internship even though I will not be working with disabled
children in my future career. Nevertheless, I learnt a great deal from the kids
and my
colleagues: Passion, patience, taking responsibility for one’s actions, and much
more. I will really miss the school and “my” kids!"
Sylvia Z., Language course and internship in the fashion industry in Sydney, Australia.
"At first I was really daunted by the prospect of travelling alone to a foreign country at the other side of the world, but in end, I have to admit that it was far and away the best decision of my life and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!!!"
Nadya E., Language course and internship in a marketing agency in Sydney, Australia.
“I spent 3 months in Sydney and it was a simply unique experience. Alongside the internship – which helped me develop personally and professionally and has really motivated me – you
get to know so many people, who are now good friends! I would love to go
back to Australia straight away! ;-)
I would recommend anyone to participate in a language course or an internship, and preferably in Sydney, of course!!
And with the friendly support of the great team at PractiGo ;-)!"
